We are seeking an experienced copyeditor to work part-time, off-site at our client's location in the Washington, DC area (accessible to Metro). The location is accessible to the metro. Candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in journalism or English and must have three to five years of work experience as a copyeditor. Must possess the ability to rewrite medical copy. Substantive editing experience is required. Must know AP Style and Chicago. Familiarity with Quark 6 is a plus. Samples must be provided. Selected candidates will be required to complete an exam. Must be familiar with cross-media publishing utilizing multiple software applications. Working knowledge of Quark, In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Powerpoint, will be needed.
