Copyeditor
We are seeking an experienced copyeditor to work part-time, off-site at our client's location in the Washington, DC area (accessible to Metro). The location is accessible to the metro. Candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in journalism or English and must have three to five years of work experience as a copyeditor. Must possess the ability to rewrite medical copy. Substantive editing experience is required. Must know AP Style and Chicago. Familiarity with Quark 6 is a plus. Samples must be provided. Selected candidates will be required to complete an exam. Scanner/Document Management
Must have a minimum of five years of experience working with Optical Character Recognition software and scanning equipment. Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and desktop publication software is required. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to accurately capture printed text and images and reformat publication into a PDF document that accurately reproduces the original material. Graphic Designer
Seeking a creative and talented designer/production artist to work on internal and customer related print and web-based publications. Must be familiar with cross-media publishing utilizing multiple software applications. Working knowledge of Quark, In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Powerpoint, will be needed. Familiarity with Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver is a plus. Should have the ability to prepare files for submission to external commercial printing resources using conventional desktop publishing or a PDF workflow. Minimum B.A., B.F.A. or equivalent degree in graphic art, design, or communications. Submit your resume to our office for consideration. Freelance Legal Writer
